Maybe it comes from being a collector and all of that, but one of my "Things" is taking care of my stuff. I know some think I carry it a little too far with all the bags and boards and boxes and so forth, but that is why a lot of my stuff still looks new even though it is actually classic, antique, or just plain old!
Then there are things like patio furniture. I cannot, for the life of me, imagine why anyone would buy outdoor furniture that is not specifically designed to withstand the elements - I cannot even imagine why any company would make such! - yet they do. That is why these same companies make patio furniture covers and those people have to buy it.
Furniture is not cheap - even "cheap" furniture - and you should do what you can to ensure the length of its life. Follow the link provided for more information.
