If you run a website, you know a little bit about things like traffic, SEO, and so on. However, if you run a site which features shopping (usually for products), then you know about CRO. But most webmasters focus on garnering traffic before thinking about their conversion rate optimization - and that's putting the cart before the horse!

Statistics show that the average conversion rate is less than 3% and the shopping cart abandonment is over 65%! No matter how much traffic you get, you are not really increasing your odds of making conversions unless your site is optimized for conversion to begin with - 2.2% of 200 is still only four. If you increase this percentage, even sites with low traffic will start showing marked improvement.

Do not waste all your money on SEO; get your CRO in synch, first!
