Pistol-Packing Preacher Holds Armed Services

A pastor from Kentucky (shocker!) has made national headlines after he began advertising church services encouraging parishioners to bring their firearms. Pastor Ken Pagano of New Bethel Church in Louisville said many church-goers are staunch supporters of the Constitutional Second Amendment: "You would be surprised how many churches use shooting for recreation with fellowship. There are people who own firearms and do so responsibly and enjoy them as a sport, maybe like golfing or bowling."

One online post bore a red font resembling blood spatter, which read, "Open Carry Church Service." The pastor dismissed questions regarding the matter, saying it was 'just a font somebody developed' and held no further significance.

Not every branch of Christianity is pacifistic.
- Pastor Ken Pagano

Few of Pagano's peers in the community support his idea. One said the whole thing "would nauseate Jesus," while another said the whole thing "makes no sense."

Late-term abortion doctor, George Tiller, was recently slain inside a church by a staunch, Christian supporter of the Second Amendment.

The open carry services will be held June 27th. Any profit made from the event will be given to charity, according to Pastor Pagano, though no charity was specified. The OddBlog feels it a safe bet that the "charitable organization" will be one which lobbies for looser gun control policies... and, quite possibly, against abortion.

Southern Baptists: ever tactful. However, Pagano tells the press the event was scheduled long before Dr. Tiller got what was coming to him (from God).
