Those Little Details

My new laptop finally arrived Friday. My excitement was quickly tempered by the fact that it does not have a modem. And I do not have broadband. As silly as it sounds, I didn't even think to check and see if the laptop I wanted had a modem card, I just assumed it did. I'm not complaining; I know I have no one to blame and the entire world is moving toward high-speed Internet. The point is that I never even thought to check for a modem before I bought the computer and I'm bad about things like that.

When you stop to consider it, those fancy, new, flatscreen and plasma TVs need something to hold them up. But I am the type of person who just assumes they come with mounts, and some do - again, not the point - the point is that you better check before you get it home, tear open the box, and get halfway into the installation!
