A man in Taipei felt a sharp pain in his groin after sitting down on the toilet. He looked down to see a long, black and yellow snake attached to his penis! While experts identified the snake as a rat snake - a non-poisonous variety - the man was still hospitalized for minor injuries. Once doctors are certain his wounds are not infected ("A snake's mouth isn't always clean," the unidentified doctor overseeing the case told reporters), he will be released.

Trippy Bream Caught Off Britain's Coast
The sarpa salpa is a type of bream which is known to cause hallucinations if certain parts are eaten. While a delicacy in some parts of the world, two men were hospitalized in 2006 in France after eating the bream - both suffered auditory hallucinations after dining on the sarpa salpa. Indigenous to the Mediterranean and waters surrounding South Africa, only three have ever been caught in British waters... until now.
A fisherman trawling for lemon sole caught one of the gold-striped bream in his nets and saved it. Not knowing what it was, he took pictures and looked on the Web. When he discovered it was a sarpa salva, he said:Now [that] I realize what it was and the effects it can have, perhaps I should have taken it into town to sell to some clubbers
The last time a sarpa salva was caught in British waters was 1983. Some experts believe global warming is to blame for the bream's northern appearance.

Has the Montauk Monster Returned?
Last year, several eyewitnesses snapped some photos of the strange remains which had washed ashore on a beach in New York. The press quickly dubbed it "The Montauk Monster" and it made the rounds across airwaves and front pages. As we explained then, the whole ordeal became very confusing very rapidly, as one of the original eyewitnesses accused her companions of dishonesty and more than one group of witnesses claiming to possess the remains.. At the end of it all, the remains were nowhere to be found, but experts viewing the pictures said the remains were most likely those of a raccoon.
However, yet another Montauk Monster has washed ashore and this time, the remains are said to be preserved, awaiting the sale to an independent laboratory for further examination. Once again, commenters and others are suggesting the remains are those of a raccoon, dog, pig, even bear. And, once again, no one has actually examined the remains IRL.
What do you think the Montauk Monster is or could be and why?

Speared Kangaroo Should Recover
Australian wildlife officials were horrified to find a kangaroo speared through the mouth by an arrow. It had apparently managed to survive for at least a week on its own, despite its condition. "It's just unbelievable, I can't believe that anyone would do something so cruel," one official told the BBC.
The injured kangaroo was found in the same region as another, which was shot in the rump. Australian officials recently told the population to feel free to eat the roo meat. Further, the Australian army is actively culling some 6000 near the capitol. The kangaroo population has undergone a small boom lately and many have become more aggressive toward humans. However, cruelty toward the creatures has also been on the rise as late.
Wildlife Victoria has posted a $7600 reward for information leading to the capture of whomever did this. Meanwhile, the kangaroo which was shot in the mouth is being looked after by a veterinarian who "remains optimistic" that it will make a full recovery.

Police Taser Naked Man Growling Lord's Prayer in Bushes
Following the overturning of his car, a Kansas City man was placed in an ambulance to be treated. But when officers turned their backs, the man leapt from the ambulance and scampered down the street. Stark, raving naked.
Police chased him down the block until his escape was impeded by bushes. He hid amongst them, refusing to come out. Police say he then began growling and reciting the Lord's Prayer. So they tasered him.
The man is now undergoing care in a local hospital.

Supernatural Powers Through Sodomy
Government troops from Rwanda sodomized a pygmy tribe leader in front of his wife and children, then raped the family in front of him. When questioned about the incident, the troops said they sodomized the pygmy in hopes of gaining supernatural powers.
The leader was stripped and sodomized in front of his wife, their children, and his daughter-in-law. The children were then stripped and raped in front of the family. The raping of children and the elderly in the region occurs on a regular basis. The armed forces in the region are solely responsible and some say they are the same ones responsible for the 1994 genocide in Rwanda.
Pygmies have been targeted for abuse by these soldiers in the past, as well.
