Cardiff Police Chase UFO, UK Sightings Explode

I wanted to direct your attentions to one of our friendly blogs, Strange Days, and their coverage of a reported UFO incident that happened over Cardiff last week.

For those who know, the BBCA series, Torchwood, is set in Cardiff and the uber-popular BBCA series, Dr. Who (from which Torchwood is a spin-off), also references the area frequently.  While these two sci-fi hits deal with UFOs and alien lifeforms and other weird and paranormal subjects, this incident is completely unrelated and no one believes there is any connection.  (I mention it only dissuade skeptics from pointing this out.)

Strange Days is covering the story quite closely and doing a better job than I could, though Siani notes the police involved are refusing interviews and the story is being discounted quickly by everyone involved; the latest reports indicate the UFO may have been a firework.  However, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Around the same time, a number of soldiers reported sightings over their barracks while on night patrol.  Three soldiers reported "glowing cubes" that seemed to be spinning and one even managed to film two of them.  The British Ministry of Defense confiscated the tapes and asked the soldiers not to speak further on the matter.

While these sightings are exciting for ufologists and laymen alike, two things you should know right off the bat are that they closely follow the MoD's recent release of their UFO Files.

And then, there's this:
