Defendant Slits Wrists on Stand

During his trial for an armed robbery case, 34-year old Carlos Molina produced a razor blade and slit one of his wrists on the stand before being subdued.

Though he had been in custody and was brought into the courtroom in the standard, jail-issue jumpsuit, he was allowed to change into regular clothes and patted-down before the trial began. It is not known how he managed to sneak the blade into the courtroom.

The defendant was taken to the emergency room. His condition is unknown.
