Things What Done Fell from the Sky: Raining Fire

For roughly 10 minutes on the night of October 18th, 1867, fire reportedly fell from the sky over Thames Ditton, Surrey, England. The following morning, puddles and rainwater tanks were, "Thickly covered with a deposit of sulfur."

A couple of weeks later, eyewitnesses in Chatham, England claimed to have seen numerous black discs in the sky above. These disks were propelled by some unknown means that produced smoke.

Things What Done Fell from the Sky: Flesh and Blood

For a full three minutes one sunny, cloudless day on August 1st, 1869, flesh and blood fell from the sky, covering two acres of farmland near Los Nietos, California.  The farm belonged to a J. Hudson, who said short, fine hairs fell along with the flesh and blood.  The flesh fell in particles, as well as in strips from 1-6" in length.

Cursory research showed that a similar event happened some two months earlier, when flesh and blood rained in nearby Santa Clara County.

Weathering the Storms

As you know, this area of the country has been hit by storms repeatedly over the last few weeks. Twice in two weeks, I went without power -- the first time lasted three entire days (almost exactly 72 hours), and the second lasted 12 hours -- and I was without internet connectivity all day earlier this week. Following all of these outages, I had more pressing matters to which I had to attend and I was unable to update the blogs.

I've also had problems with some advertisers lately and that took-up far more time than it should have. In fact, that was one of the "more pressing matters" to which I had to attend following these outages.

There are more storms predicted for this weekend through next week, though they are not (at this time) forecasting heavy winds or tornadic activity. Of course, given the area and time of the year, we never know what to expect! At any rate, I'm still here and I'm still posting, just haven't been able to as much as I'd like thanks to weather and other matters.

Thanks!

Shapeshifter Haunts African Town

Residents of Steytlerville, an African town in the arid territory of Karoo, claim there is a shapeshifter in their midst. According to one eyewitness, the creature -- whatever it is -- changed from a man in a suit to a pig to a bat. So far, no one has photographed the shapeshifter, even though that seems a little silly given its nature.

While the shapeshifting creature has terrorized the small town, it has yet to harm any living creature.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to everyone, whether or not you actually celebrate it. The truth is that Easter was a pagan holiday that was subsumed by Christianity as the Church expanded. However, I choose not to go into such things simply because I'm not looking for confrontation and the people who will actually read longer posts like that are.

But Happy Easter to everyone!

'Dead Alien' Filmed in Russia

Shortly after being released online, this video of a supposed "dead alien" in Russia became an Internet sensation. Though I do not speak Russian, I have a good idea as to the discussion taking place between the unseen recorders. The "corpse" was found near the town of Irkutsk, where strange lights have been seen and filmed in recent days.

After viewing the video, I'm going to say it's very good, but it isn't real. It is nice, though.

Since it's been suppressed, I've changed my mind!

Nine-Foot Alligator in Arkansas!

Authorities say a 9' alligator may have surmounted two fences and gotten loose in the Pine Bluff area, about 50 miles outside of Little Rock. The male alligator was being housed at Gov. Mike Huckabee Delta Rivers Nature Center. Authorities now believe he is mingling with other alligators in the area.

So far, the beast has not been found!

Local Stuff

Sorry, but these have been bad weeks as far as storms go in, and surrounding, the area. I went without power for three days last week and without Internet for at least half of yesterday. I am also lazy. But it is hard to get back into the groove after something like that and I'm still working on it.

I'll post some today and tomorrow and try to get back to work Monday. For. Reals.

UFO Over Australia

Eyewitnesses in Hawera and Waikato claim to have seen a UFO over the weekend and on March 29th, respectively. One of these witnesses is a secretary who works at the Hawera Observatory and Astronomical Society. According to her testimony, she first thought what she saw was a planet, but soon realized it was not, as the object seemed to "zoom towards her." This event occurred about a week ago.

On Saturday of this following weekend, a man first observed the UFO in the Taranaki sky while outside his home. He described it as "a flamey-type object with a dark shadow on top which looked to be a pyramid shape with a round top." Aaron Sellwood ran inside and got his former partner and children, and the family watched the strange lights for about 20 minutes before they sped away. The family wasn't sure what they had seen until the UFO returned.

Sellwood says the craft hovered over a neighbor's house, where "It turned its flames off and it looked like it was cooling down. There was what looked like an element beneath it - a big red ring." Another witness observed a similar sighting on January 17th, and yet another was recorded on December 26th, 2010. The Airways Corporation, which monitors air traffic in the area recorded nothing unusual.

On March 29th, several residents in the Waikato vicinity observed similar UFO.

Things What Done Fell from the Sky - Scotland, 2011

Scottish students were allowed to leave classes and watch a rain of worms on April 2nd, 2011. Teachers say the worms fell from a cloudless sky, noticed by the children who heard a series of thumps all around. Teachers found more worms in a tennis yard about 100 yards from where the children first noticed the fall.

Lights Out!

Sorry, y'all! The lights went out Monday afternoon thanks to storms in the area, and they just got them back and going today around 3pm! It was so cold last night that you could see your breath in the house... I didn't fall asleep until after the sun came up and warmed things up a bit.

Anyway, we'll be back to the grind tomorrow, and sorry again for the delay!
