A British woman, pregnant with twins, was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She was given the choice to undergo chemotherapy and a hysterectomy, but it meant the termination of her unborn twins. She declined.
When the twins were born, doctors were shocked to find that the twins' kicking had dislodged the tumor! The mother said she had felt them kicking, but never thought much about it. The girls were delivered by caesarean section 33 weeks into the pregnancy.
The mother did undergo treatment after they were born and has since been given a clean bill of health.
