Technical Update

Just dropping a line to let you know I am always working to improve the look, feel, and performance here and across the site. In particular, the tags are a problem because I started this without any real plan for them. They are not so easy to "clean-up"; it takes a lot of time to fix a tag system once you've screwed it up and though I have formulated a partial plan for several of teh more popular labels here, it is nowhere near as easy to enact it.

Aside from that, I am trying my best to get the poor old OddBlog a little Google love. Regular readers know I am no fan of Google because of their business practices and the way they treat actual Netizens - those of us who create what is known as The World Wide Web. Without the content and technical work we provide, there really wouldn't be anything for Google to help "regular" users find, so I have no idea why they think they can push us around the way they do. I personally use no Google services, save Blogger - and, of course, the occasional engine search when I have exhausted all other options.

Still, there is no denying a positive PR would bring some more life to our little corner of the Blogosphere and I would really like that. I simply do not have the time to promote and market it the way I would like - lately, I have been fighting to find the time to even blog here! But while this is a goal, it is not a real priority; after all, if I can just get some decent PR for the overall site, it will bring more visitors.

So, that's just a quick update to let everyone know I am always working, even if you don't actually see anything new.
