China recorded over 13,000 lightning strikes in Hong Kong within an hour, thanks to a powerful storm tied to Tropical Storm Meranti. Some villages reported flooding, others were assailed by winds exceeding 60mph. But what makes this even more interesting is the number of reports of UFOs.
According to Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK), the Hong Kong Observatory, which recorded the lightning strikes, received numerous phonecalls from concerned citizens reporting UFOs. The observatory assumed the UFOs were actually street lamps.
