A 77-year old woman was pulled-over and searched when her car was anonymously reported for transporting drugs. In it, police found 27.5 grams of cocaine!
The woman said she had pneumonia and "was told it will give you quite a lift."
She apologized profusely, admitted to the crime, and said it would never happen again. The driver was not charged.
I see nothing to be gained from prosecuting this woman, though a fine should be levied. Of course, seeing as how the powder is worth about $3000 and the cats what turned her in are undoubtedly the same scumbags who sold her the stuff, even that seems a bit excessive. The streets will be no safer with a 77-year old pensioner off of them.
But she should be coerced into giving-over her drug source, which she has refused to do. I promise you they're the people who turned her in.
